Hi guys,

is there some central repository of (free) slides, pdfs and other electronic materials presented on User Meetings?

Thank you.

I.

Most slides are available through the web pages with the program. For
example, if you go to
http://www.eurotcl.tcl3d.org/eurotcl-2015/program.html you have
clickable links for the presentations. You get there from the main
EuroTcl page by selecting "Past events".

Furthermore, there is a youtube channel which hosts some videos; the
past two EuroTcl conferences were recorded in full:

https://www.youtube.com/user/videotcltk

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHNnTryxvDnf0YotQXyOu6fBWGLJALkd5
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHNnTryxvDnelrrFWEgeaiKKZVk_csgAm

For the US conference, the slides and articles can be found here:
http://www.tcl.tk/community/tcl2016/proceedings.html

Generally speaking I welcome links to user informaton, tutorials, etc.
to be added to

http://core.tcl.tk/fora.html
http://core.tcl.tk/docs.html
http://core.tcl.tk/conferences.html
http://core.tcl.tk/related.html

You may see the pattern ;)

Feel free to add this stuff there. I do not have any ways to do it.

The links recently added to the wiki to materials for the 1993 and 1994 workshops don't work for me, ftp.tcl.tk down?

I can access via FTP client but not Firefox. It seems that either deliberately or through neglect, ftp support has been eliminated from the latter.

It works from Chrome (on OSX at least).

Which version of FF are you using ?

I am accessing the server with FF 53.0 (*)

[*] At the time it was an FF ?? on Ubuntu 14.04.05 (Trusty).

Right now it is FF 53.0 on Ubuntu 16.04.02 (Xenial), did an
upgrade over the weekend.

To proceed, you may want to capture the attempt.
Below is what I get on my side (working).
The delta with yours might shed some light :)

Hum, you've lost me.
Initially you mentioned ftp working and ff not working; but now you're showing failing examples of both (though not failing the same way).
Please clarify.

Clearly the situation has evolved, can't explain, only report. Bottom line remains, can't access ftp.tcl.tk.
