  No, the problem is that Fedora apparently arranged for Tk to be &lt;br&gt; installed somewhere other than where Tcl looks for its packages.   Yes, the problem was that tcl was built without placing the Tk library &lt;br&gt; in the &lt;br&gt; package search path (bummer). &lt;br&gt; My local fix was to create a Tk directory in the Tcl library and add a &lt;br&gt; pkgIndex.tcl file that contained: &lt;br&gt; if {[catch {package present Tcl 8.5.0-8.6}]} { return } &lt;br&gt; package ifneeded Tk 8.5.7	[list load [file join $dir ../..

  is there a bug with tcl version on 64 bit that # of scoket does not go &lt;br&gt; beyond 16? &lt;br&gt; check the code below; which opens 50 connections on 32 bit machine but &lt;br&gt; stucks at 14/15 connections on a 64 bit machine.. ( change IP address &lt;br&gt; before trying the code below) &lt;br&gt; I tried with versions 8.3.5,8.3.2, 8.4,8.5.7- only version 8.3.5 works
