I get a sidebar tree view to the left when I use firefox on Windows
but I don't see it when I use firefox on Linux... strange
But overall, nice. Just be careful about browser compatibility, the
tcl crowd is very heterogeneous when it comes to what platform they
use.
Do you have js enabled in both cases? I see it alright on linux, after
allowing javascript

I do not like the new wiki formatting. I do not subscribe to the "must
look like other websites" design philosophy, which is clearly at play
here, whether it was intentional or not.
But rather that merely raise a question of taste, there are some
usability issues that bear mentioning. There is no need for a sidebar.
This is a gratuitous use/waste of space. A categories page is quite
enough. Also, the formatting code, interfers w/ browsing a wiki page
with a narrow browser window, something that I do all the time, though
I seem to be in a strict minority on this point.
I spent an awful lot of time on the wiki in its previous incarnation.
Once the search feature was improved, I felt nothing but affection for
the site. Now, it looks like a microsoft help file. Yuck.
The feather icon is nice though.
Mark.

I like the new look.

I agree. That's why you can turn it off. Yay. Best of both worlds.

Don't know about that one - minus the sidebar you should be better
off.

I'm glad you like the search. What did we improve again?

Heh. Don't know, never looked at a MS Help file. You should be ok
now you know you can revert to non-menu format, no?

It is, isn't it. I think the text aesthetic is pretty good all-round,
but it is a matter of taste.
The footer is placed where the menubar should be, and the menubar is
placed at the bottom below the "wrapper" div.
Apparently, the menu_area div is set to 200px wide while the wrapper div
only has a margin of 160px.
Note: My default background colour is grey.
