But I also just noticed that ghowlett is quietly making commits to
BLT's sourceforge CVS. I haven't seen postings or email by George in
some time. But I recall that his policy was to wait until a "final"
Tcl/Tk release before working on upgrading BLT. I tried to drop him a
note via sourceforge offering to help, but I didn't get a response.
Does anybody know if George is working on upgrading BLT to Tcl/Tk
8.5? Or how to contact him?
Thanks,
Bob

We use BLT with 8.5 on windows and haven't run into any problems (yet.
knock on wood!) I believe I got my version at the following address; I
don't recall how I stumbled upon it. Google smiled on me, I guess.
http://reddog.s35.xrea.com/wiki/A%20Stub-enabled%20BLT2.4z%20for%20Windows.html
Along with the code was a README file with these contents:
This is a binary release of BLT2.4z for Windows.
- BLT2.4z patched with blt2.4z-patch-2
- Enabled-Stub
- Fixed [Bug 651993]
I put this under original BLT license.
Count me among the chorus cheering George on -- I hope we see a new
8.5-compatible version of BLT from him some day soon. BLT is a wonderful
package.

Thanks, Bryan. I think I saw that too. But I got scared off by the
"dirty patch" and "dangerous patch" comments. If its working for you,
maybe I'll take another look.
