I was wondering if anyone is keeping up with that project and what you
think about it for Tcl development?

My experience with it tells me that Kate (from KDE project) is much
faster with comparable (or even better) features.

Maybe time will make it more mature.

Yes but Kate...is Linux only I believe.

I've been monitoring it, it is useful and improving.

I've not switched to it yet for my day to day usage -- one reason is startup
time with a large number of files in the project.

That's true in some limited meaning, since almost whole KDE3 can be
compiled on cygwin (so Kate does too, I believe).
That's situation for now. Future is promising - KDE4 is going to be
runnable on win32 natively.
