Tk and Credential Manager software

As the proud owner of a new HP laptop complete with finger print
scanner, I am now being prompted at password boxes everywhere as to
whether I would like the "Credential Manager" to remember my password
and log me in automatically next time. All well and good except that
now I have to figure out how to add this to my tk application which
also asks for a password.

Anybody come across this before? Maybe something tile/twapi could
handle? The thing is that this credential manager stuff even manages
to notice "old" windows software which is asking for a password. MFC
magic I suppose...
