What is SpecTcl
SpecTcl is a graphical user interface builder, written in Tcl/Tk, that
generates user interfaces for Tcl/Tk, Java/awk, (and almost Perl/Tk).
Highlights of this release:
- includes tk4.1/tcl7.5 solaris binaries with the blt_table geometry
manager used by SpecTcl.
- produces code for Java/awt (e.g. specJava). Several simple Java
demos are provided.
- produces code for Tcl/tk using either the "grid" or "blt_table"
geometry managers. (A code generator for perl-tk 5.01m is
included but is not supported.)
- All reproducable bugs from the 0.1 release have been fixed.
- Streamlined source code for the blt_table geometry manager is included
along with simple instructions for building SpecTcl on non-Solaris
platforms.
This will probably be the last SpecTcl release not based entirely
on the "grid" geometry manager.
