Yes, I am using it, too. And I am also lazy. So a new release with what is available now would be helpful for me.

The situation for VB is completely different: there is an successor (
VB.NET)
available since. Furthermore, there is a by far greater user basis so it will take longer to diminish.

For my paid work I have to deal with
DOT.NET and C#. I don't like it that much.
Albeit from the bad languages (C#, Java, C++, ...) it's my preferred one :D
And, by the way, I have exactly the problem to convince people to even try Dolphin for the reason I posted. It's really hard to convince people if they
think it would be wasted time because they recognize Dolphin as being abandoned,
especially after it was officially abandoned by Object Arts before.
Nowadays most developers start with either C# or Java. There are a lot of interesting languages available for those who are willing to enhance their knowledge outside the mainstream. Smalltalk is just one of them and Dolphin is just one of the Smalltalks...
As far as I can see the Dolphin community is shrinking and not growing.
And even inside the Smalltalk community Dolphin seems to be vanishing.
Have there been any presentations on ESUG or STIC conferences regarding Dolphin?
I haven't heard about Dolphin in cross dialect projects (like cypress), too.

Andreas
