Hi,

I am trying to install the Community Edition of Dolphin Smalltalk to
evaluate whether it might be a good fit for some future projects.
However, the only Windows machines I have access to are at work, and our
sysadmin doesn't give out administrator privileges. I can usually
install most software I need to my home folder and run it from there,
but the Dolphin installer refuses to even attempt an install without
full administrator rights. Is there a version of the installer that can
run with limited privileges? Frankly, I'm slightly wary of giving any
downloaded installer full administrator rights over my machine.

Neil,

The Dolphin installer should really expect to work with Power User
rights but I believe there is a bug where it checks for Administrator
privileges before continuing. So I'm afraid that, at the moment, there
is no easy way for you to install DCE on a machine with limited rights.
Sorry.

Best regards
