Is there a version of Scheme that runs on Unix, MS-DOS, MS Windows,
and VMS (MacOS would be nice as well), runs in 300K or so, is freely
available in source code, and provides the same access to all
reasonably portable operating system facilities (including globbing
and directory enumeration, all file system operations, the ability to
spawn processes with full control over the standard I/O and their
lifetime) that Tcl does? If so, I'd be happy to switch from Tcl (in
which I'm starting to build some tools) to it.
I understand there is a Scheme library that provides the facilities
of Tk, called STk. Does it run on any environment other than X
Windows, specifically, MS Windows?
Please reply to me individually. Thanks.
