Hi,
I've made the Comprehensive Scheme Archive Network (from CPAN) a reality.
It is a simple file fetcher client-server system written in scsh and thus
can also be used as an actor or agent system. You can implement
scheme CGI scripts for making e.g. a web interface for it.
It's in savannah's sunterlib git repository :
git clone git://git.savannah.nongnu.org/sunterlib.git

Cool. Have you read about R7RS and the work they are doing with Snow?

I've put a snow interface in sunterlib. I'm working on it. URL fetching in the CSAN shell works.
