Rant is a flexible build tool written entirely in Ruby,
similar to Rake.

== What's new in this release?

This is mainly a bugfix release.

* Fix a rule bug where a custom rule task wouldn't find it's
prerequisites in subdirectories.

* A non-backwards compatible change in the YAML library of Ruby 1.8.3
and newer causes gems to be non-backwards compatible. The fix for
backwards compatibility of gems created with RubyPackage is enabled
for all newer Ruby versions now. (See changes of last Rant release.)

* The new method sys.write_to_binfile. (Kevin Burge's idea.)

== Installing Rant

You can install Rant as a RubyGem:

% gem install --remote rant

or download the package from
RubyForge(http://rubyforge.org/frs/?group_id=615)
and install with install.rb:

% ruby install.rb

Or how about "puggle" (a baby echidna--see the wikipedia article).

This is just typical of latin speakers: They use something just because
it sounds great not bothering to figure out what it means in the
language it comes from.
Echidna means viper in greek and in the greek mythology, Echidna is the
mother of among others Cerberus, Chimera and the Sphinx(and yes, all the
others were monsters too).
Not very nice connotations with that name guys. Nope, it's not a spiny
aardvark.

I am quite certain that they knew what it meant. Have
you ever met an echidna? :)
