I find travel to the US beyond my budget these days, except in
exceptional circumstances.

If you could arrange for the 2017 symposium to be in St Louis MO or
Nashville TN, either before or after Monday August 21, 2017 then we
could all combine it with a viewing of the US Total Solar Eclipse...

I've already booked my lodgings for the eclipse (In the Nashville area,
as that is closest to the maximum eclipse) but I'm still working on the
travel arrangements. I'm hoping to cross the Atlantic as a passenger on
a freighter. I'll see if I can find a "Rent-a-Wreck" in whichever port I
arrive in.
