MarpaX::Languages::C::AST
|
| |
Hello,
Advised by PAUSE to announce it, here is a new module that is a C source code translation to AST using the Marpa BNF parser.
The name of the module is MarpaX::Languages::C::AST, in alpha-stage.
Please note that this module is not a compiler, it is:
- (more than) a proof (of concept) that the Marpa parser is a mature and... more »

Jouke Visser, author of Speech::Synthesis
|
| |
Greetings. Jouke Visser's CPAN module
[link]
provides a generic interface for different TTS Engines.
That would be good, but it was last updated in 2005 and only supports:
MSAgent, SAPI4 and SAPI5 (Win32), MacSpeech and Festival
so it doesn't yet know about espeak ... The visually-impaired... more »

possible Speech::Speakup module ?
|
| |
Greetings.
Speakup is a screen-reader that runs on Linux as a kernel module.
A screen-reader allows blind or visually-impaired people to hear text
as it appears on the screen, and to review text already displayed
anywhere on the screen.
I haven't submitted it to CPAN yet, but I've written a small Perl... more »

Image simplification and interpretation modules
|
| |
Hello all; this is a first time post for me as I've led a very sheltered perl life in a fairly closed sourced organization. This has hampered my perl skills and so I'm striking out a bit and operating out of my particular box. And one thing I must do is familiarize myself and become comfortable with contributing to and assisting on the CPAN. (I'm also going to soon be giving a presentation on my experience with this at a local perl mongers meetup, so I must get off my butt.)... more »

"walk over," and XPath-based substitutions?
|
| |
[Cross-posting to news:comp.text.xml, yet omitting it from
Followup-To:, for I'm primarily interested in Perl-based

Is there an easy way to invoke a particular code for each of XML
nodes that satisfies an XPath expression out of a certain list?
A simple-minded approach (based on XML::LibXML) could be like:... more »

Imager::QRCode-ing octet sequences vs. zbarimg(1)
|
| |
[AIUI, discussion of Perl modules is more appropriate for
news:comp.lang.perl.modules. Yet, it appears to be abandoned,
thus cross-posting to news:comp.lang.perl.misc. Cross-posting
to news:alt.barcodes, too, just in case.]
I wonder if QR codes are suitable for encoding arbitrary octet... more »

Net-FullAuto

I recently try to install this program/library and see that after perl Makefile.PL the script looks for a lot of modules AND BerkeleyDB in /usr/lib, /usr/local, /usr/src and /root
Naturally I press Ctrl+C and worry about if someone is cared
about scurity of the modules before posted in cpan.... more »
