regular expression and URL

[Dan Krause]

I'm fairly new to perl. Could someone direct me to a good example of a
regular expression that can extract any urls from a string? I have one
that works but I'm not satisfied with it. Currently it is @x =
m/http:\/\/*[\S-.]+/g
