I've created a new search engine at http://www.cdiggins.com/search/ for
doing research on programming languages using the new Google co-op
service. It has an emphasis on programming language theory, but
searches the home pages of over 50 programming languages as well as
many online textbooks, and citeseer.

Let me know how it works for you, and if you have suggestions on how
the search results can be tweaked to work better for you.

Hello Christopher,

I tested searching with "nice" (a Java lang) and "Component Pascal" and "F"
(Fortran 95 subset).
The last was not found.
On the other hand I had expected a page with your favourite 50 languages;-)

regards, Ludwig

Thanks for trying out the engine. I added a new site for Component
Pascal, and one for F in response to your post.

I don't really know enough languages to make a list of 50 favourite
languages ;-)

Some people have had problems with certain browsers, so I want to also
point people to an alternative interface hosted at google. The nice url
is http://www.plre.org ( which just redirects to
http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=014747201223551113285:vpu0sfjjqpe for
now).
