Subject: Only 9 months until Constructionism 2010!
Dear All,

There are only 9 months before we ALL gather together in Paris for
Constructionism 2010! The dates: 16 August through 20 August.

BUT, there is less time - 3 months - to prepare and submit your own papers
(due by the end of February 2010).

The tradition of the EuroLogo conferences, of which Constructionism 2010 is
the latest version, has been to require the submission of your paper before
the conference so that these can be sent out to reviewers. This peer review
process assures us that your papers fit well into the theme of the
conference, that we can offer you constructive help if needed, and that the
organizing committee can effectively schedule papers and events during the
week of the conference.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this allows us to produce a complete
conference proceedings for you on your arrival in Paris. This year we have a
publisher interested in producing an edited version of the conference
events, papers, and discussions so your participation is especially
important. The idea is to publish a kind of Constructionism 2.0.

So, please get started! If you need feedback on your ideas before you set
out to write the whole paper, send me your abstract and I, or another member
of the committee, will comment ASAP!

If you would like to suggest a panel or be part of one, let us know about
that. Or, if you have some other ideas about novel forms of participation,
let us know about that, too.

Papers should be between 6-10 pages and presentation times at the conference
will be between 20-30 minutes. Let us know, however, if your presentation
should be given more time.

See the website for some suggestions to presenters.
http://www.aup.fr/news/special_events/constructionism2010.htm.

Workshops, demonstrations, concerts and posters are needed, too.

Remember that graduate students and teachers who wish to give a poster can
apply through me for inexpensive accommodations at the conference center,
FIAP. If you are interested contact me at "James Clayson"
<i...@constructionism2010.org>.

We already have a list of wonderful presentations and events planned. Music,
dance, art, as well as the traditional EuroLogo fare. All in the
constructionist mode! All in extraordinary Paris!

Registration and payment for the conference will be done through the
conference website. Please take a look at the site and follow the link from
registration. http://www.aup.fr/news/special_events/constructionism2010.htm.

Please make your plans to join us. Please start on that paper, poster or new
workshop idea.
Write me if you have questions or suggestions!

Sincerely,

James Clayson
Organizer
Constructionism 2010
