Does anyone know LogoWriter?

Back when I first started programming in BASIC and C++, I was
introduced to LOGO in middle school. The year was 1996 and the
computers were were using ran the Macintosh OS. There was a LOGO
program called "LOGO Writer" (at least, I believe it was) and it had
support for a LOT of functions. In fact I really delved deep into the
documentation and wrote a paint program that interacted with the mouse
and detected mouse clicks on the screen to put the pen down and up
accordingly, and draw to the whims of the mouse movements. It also had
support for choosing colors from a palette on the screen.

But enough bragging.

I'd like to find this software again. I have a Macintosh PowerPC with
Mac OS 7.x on it and would love to find the software. I do not know FOR
SURE if it were LOGOWRITER or not, but it was a full featured LOGO
programming language with support for the mouse (as described above)
and several other advanced functions.

Does anyone know where I can find this? I'd love to relive the glory
days.

Thanks!

Logowriter was a product of Logo Computer Systems Inc. I don't know if they
still distribute it, but you'd like their newer versions too.

Is there a version of LogoWriter for the Macintosh? I think that's what
I worked on but I can't remember. I tried to provide information about
the program (it ran on Mac, it had support for mouse control, etc) in
order to determine from your experience if you knew what LOGO program
it was. Like I said I think it was LogoWriter but I can't be sure.

Oh -- and MicroWorld was a lot of fun! ;)

But it is in French. However you can load French-English translation down at
the page, for Macintosh only.

Yes, it was called Logowriter. Created by a Canadian company. I was a computer teacher for kids in the 90's and I had a copy that I used. I'm trying to find a copy myself as I have a student I'm teaching now. Feel free to e-mail me at threept...@gmail.com if you find a copy... Alan Smukler
