USENET threads, despite the name, have nothing to do with control
flow, they are data structures.

Def. /proper/ meta-discussion: one that terminates at some level.

What about /circular/ meta-discussions? Surely I've seen something like
that (maybe even this one).

It would be interesting to see a definion or an example of /dotted/
meta-discussion....
