Hi,
This group is containing more spams and this make subscribing
infeasible. Can some one administer this. Is it because it a public
one that there are many spams. How do you Lisp guys get to this place.
Is it just via a normal surfing or having an rss feed or some other
means.
Thank You

I don't see the connection between the two (spam has nothing to do with
feasibility of subscribing), and I don't see much spam.

Some use a magical wardrobe, other teleport via wormholes. People
used to ride dragons, but the TCO (burned clothes etc) is too high for
most. Lisp Gods just rely on omnipresence.

You might also want to consider using a newsreader. Popular servers
include news.eternal-september.org (free), news.individual.net (low
cost).

If you use gnus as you should, then there's no difference between pop,
imap and nntp.

The problem is that you're using Google Groups. They don't filter spam
out of newsgroups. Most *real* Usenet services do. If you want a free
service, try eternal-september.org or aioe.org.

Yes that's the problem.
Thank You for pointing to those links.

Usually I post as normal. First Quote, then my reply. Thank for
pointing
that. I didn't give much thought on it before.

Thank You guys. I have no spams now. Yeh!
