Does anyone know if there is an Emacs Lisp interpreter
written in Common Lisp ? I am toying with the idea of
implementing Emacs on my Macintosh at home in CL (using
MCL).
The only implementation of Emacs on the Mac (although excellent)
is based on 18.57 and thus can't run most packages I use
on Unix (it also has problems with virtual memory).
Thanks for any pointers

Eric Naggum has a web page about a similar project, you might check with
him whether anything came from it.

shortly after the CLEMACS projects started, a client of mine from 7 years
past contacted me with a very exiciting new project, and I have done
nothing else to speak of for the past 12 months. the next 12 months are
somewhat less occupied, but I doubt I'll have much spare time until 1999.
