Send viewport positioning to script

Hi there. I need some help on this page:
<http://etc.Gnarlodious.com/Vanagon/Bosch_Pump/Rebuild.html>

Click the first image and it expands nicely in the center of the
viewport. However, all images below that open the popup in the top of
the page. How would I tell the script where to draw the popup?

I was thinking about a this.href for positioning but don't know much
about JS. This is a Python script s changes are easily made.
