Hello!

I need to deploy the recent JRE (6u14) for our
Windows XP-Clients (german, SP3) in an AD (using
a tool called 'Empirum' from Matrix42). I have
been searching for hours now but still have not
found the parameters to create a package that
will be installed silently and with certain
settings (no auto-update, no update-information
for our users etc.).

Somebody else found out that something like this
might work (and it seemed to as far as I could
check it) - but I would like to check the used
parameters and to know other available parameters
(as I still had to delete some registry keys in
order to get rid of auto-update etc.):

"jre-6u13-windows-i586-p-s.exe" /s /v"/qb-! ADDLOCAL=ALL JAVAUPDATE=0 EULA=0 REBOOT=ReallySuppress IEXPLORER=1 MOZILLA=1
WEBSTARTICON=0 SYSTRAY=0 JU=0 AUTOUPDATECHECK=0" /le "%temp%\jre.log"

(Some parameters are apparently MSI-parameters
those in capital letters are special JRE-
parameters).

This seemed to work with administrators and users
without roaming profile and no folder redirection
- but as soon I tried to use it with regular
domain users the package could not be installed
(even no logfile will be created).
Nevertheless it seems that (most of) the parameters
used seemed to be OK.
As I couldn't create a working software-package
within reasonable time I had to install the JRE
manually only on those PCs where the users really
needed it. The new build 6u14 is now the next
possibility to try it again ...

Could somebody tell me e. g. a webpage where one
can find the necessary information (especially
with all those jre-specific parameters available)?

Thank you!

You may need a commercial installer. See
