Should I switch to Python? I've only looked at Python over the past
couple of days, but it seems that the matplotlib gives it an extensive
2D library (with a filled contour algorithm that appears more rhobust
than IDL's, and doesn't create thousands of small triangles and large
files) which has been doing for some time what the new IDL graphics
system is trying to do...
I'm not building applications, just looking at data.
Thoughts?
