Yikes tell me how we resolve this! On the one hand there is a small
group of IDL users who for several years now want IDL to "seamlessly"
support GPU accelerated graphics. And IDL is also expected to support
"an old ATI card, which no longer has drivers that work on a recent
OS". At least IDL has a software rendering option!

David - Maybe you can chip in and fund a new laptop for Paolo :-)
