                           Call for Papers
                  Journal of Functional Programming

The Journal of Functional Programming is now well into its second
year of publishing.  This quarterly journal, published by Cambridge
University Press, covers all aspects of functional programming,
including new languages and extensions, reasoning and proof
techniques, program transformation and synthesis, type theory,
implementation techniques, parallelism, and applications.

The editors are currently assembling a "Special Issue on Functional
Languages in Education", and thus are soliciting papers describing
experience teaching functional programming (either introductory or
advanced), systems supporting the use/teaching of functional languages
(including transformation or debugging tools), etc.  The deadline for
submittals for this special issue is December 15, 1991.

If you would like to submit a paper to JFP, please send three copies
to one of the Editors listed below:

John Hughes or Philip Wadler, Department of Computing Science,
University of Glasgow, 14 Lilybank Gardens, Glasgow G12 8RZ, UK
