5.5 App problems

I have an app that I converted from C5b to C5.5h last year - on some
processes, e.g. an invoice form, when the invoice is saved, mostly it works,
sometimes there is an error that comes up with one of the files being
updated is not open (Error: File xxxx Not Open). If I run this 100 times
on my computers, never a problem, if i run on the clients computer, error
will come up like one in 10 invoices. Have tried everything I can think
of, updated OS (both XP sp3), memory, power, etc etc. I am totally lost -
i plan to move to C6 / 7 in the near future, but if I can't get the 5.5 app
stable i am at a standstill. This has consumed so much time testing etc, no
i idea where to turn. Same OS, recent PC, 3GB ram, any ideas what i can do
to solve this problem? I can just say get a new PC, but why wont it run
relaibly on their pc. Any help appreciated.....
