So far my real tests show me Windows 7 32 bit would be the best choice
under VMware. It's a little snappier than XP or Vista 32. You can
argues about Vista 32 but Win 7 is better than XP. MSoft Virtual PC is
minimally OK. Try VMWare free for a trial period first. It is FAR FAR
easier to use and does more stuff.

The new Win 7 XP mode could be OK too but it's not as far ahead as
VMware.
