One of my clients running my app on P2P with 10/100 netcards and Xp Pro
suffers an internittent problem that crashes my programme. It dows not
happen on the main machine or the third machine. Oplocks are all set
correctly. The problem comes into play when he is running a long report.
This same report using his data on my network (set to same speed) cannot be
faulted. No other client has reported the problem. The app is a C6 9058.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nev

Hi Neville,

Sounds to me like a problem I had once. Apparently the P2P connection on
some XP PCs drop their connections for some reason I am not privy to. <g>
As a work around, I would run Windows Explorer (or PowerDesk6) on the
"client" side and select the mapped network drive P2P connection and just
leave WE or PD6 open/running and the problem would go away. I think it was
some kind of bug in XP and after each/some Windows "updates" I would try to
not have WE or PD6 as a check for a fix by MS and the problem would simply
not be there any longer.

G'day Earl
Thanks for that. Personally I believe it is something like that or something
grabbing the ram and preventing further processing. I have given the site
owner a list of what I expect their tech to investigate.
