I buy a lot of programming books. Packt books are somewhat variable in
quality: however 'Mastering the C++17 STL' is two or three cuts above
the average:

It covers recent material that I have not seen documented previously,
is detailed, and editorialises in an amusing and chatty way. It also
has a historical perspective, which is most illuminating when covering
streams.
Recommended.
