Presumably one pronounces it "Guru of the Week" ? Anything else would
be difficult to say, and impossible to understand.

Fish?

or perhaps got-woo?, althoug that would fit better to a literal Guru,
an I assume that's not what we're taking abuot here.

Gee-Oh-Tee-Double-U, or "Guru of the Week" for short

“gått-vé”, same as in “gått vér”.

Some English words have a silent w.

That's true - but the silent w is a left-over in the spelling from a
time when the letter /was/ pronounced. There was a time when the w was
pronounced in two, sword, answer, and write. So you don't get a silent
w in new words.

And pronouncing "GotW" as "Got" would, I think, be confusing. If the
full phrase is too long to use, I would introduce it once when
explaining what it is, and then abbreviate to "the Guru".
