pocket pc app 
  I'm trying to make an app for my pocket pc but I can't work out how to make visual basic allow me to select a mobile based template when I try to create a new project. The option just isn't in there. I have visual-studio.net but not everything is installed as I did a custom install. I'd really appreciate some pointers on fixing this.... more »

Instrumenting non-.NET DLL w/ Version Info? 
  Hello - I was wondering if there is a way to add version information to a DLL that was not built with .NET. In .NET (VB) I have the AssemblyInfo.vb file that contains <Assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.*")> to set the version info. Keyboard into text box 
  How do I get a keyboard input into a 2 digit string for a hex input. I set the Properties of text box max length to 2 . I get a bell upon the first digit being entered. I would also like to allow input with only when a boolean variable is true. The following only accepts 0-9 but I need it to be 0-F hex.... more »

connecting to remote db with dsn without uid and pwd 
  Hi, I want to open a connection (with DSN) without specifying the user name and password.. (the database isnt local..) Is this possible? and if yes can anyone send me the connection string inorder to do this? thanks!

Help Help Error loading 
  After my last save, I get an error and the error log says: Line 871: Cannot load control hi; containing control not a valid container. Line 871: The file D:\Microsoft Visual Studio 6\Projects\Mtrx.frm could not be loaded. Is there any way to edit the file so it will load or read the file? thanks Kirk... more »

borderless command button 
  Hi, Is there a way to have an icon command button with an irregular shape rather than a button with a border. In other words I want the background of the icon to blend with the backgound (grey) until a mouse over or a click. I have tried MS common controls but I can't turn off the border. I have used an image but it dosn't change for a left click.... more »

removing date from database record - 
  Using VB5 and Access 7 database. Not sure how to describe this problem - but I have 2 text boxes in a database program - they store a date and the properties in the DB are set as date/time. Works fine, but if I choose remove the date, when I restart the program the date is back filled back in by the database records I assume - can't seem to... more »
