SourceSafe it's a check-in/check-out source control software allowing you to
maintain versions of your app in progress. It comes with some versions of
Visual Studio (Enterprise version at least) and is also available on its own
(around $500 US).

All professionals and skilled enthusiasts use a version control tool. Lots
of my interview questions are on this topic.

Lots of times I am frustrated by the silly questions in this newsgroup. I
wonder why the poster doesn't find out what the gurus do and do that.
