Hi,

is there a way to become access to the vector paths from any file that
was created and exported by adobe illustrator?

I want make a custom tool for controling sign cutters. Setting options
and sending hpgl is easy but I have no stuff inside ... :-(

I need a parser for eps, wmf, svg or any other ...

For the .ai files, here's the Wikipedia entry, which includes a link to the
current specs:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adobe_Illustrator_Artwork

...actually, rather than posting a bunch of links, here's Wikipedia's vector
graphics category:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Vector_graphics

You should find links to what you're looking for from there.

(SVG is just an XML file. Try using your drawing program of choice to make
some simple SVG files, and then examine them in your text editor of choice.)
