Description: Discussion about APL.

Internals of an APL Interpreter
Where could I get information on how APL works *inside*??? I know it's a massive undertaking, but I think it would be fun to *try* creating an APL system myself. Are most interpreters table driven??? How is the APL function text stored???

So I need to resize the program to fit the screen as well as possible so the graphics area is large and easy to see. I don't... more »

APL CAM Journal - Back Issues.
I have been trying FOR YEARS to get ANY of the following APL CAM Journal Issue Articles. I contacted the LIbrary of Congress and there appears to be no libraries that archived this publication. The Description of Finite Sequential Processes
Before J (1989), there was APL (1966); before APL, there was "A Programming Language" (1962). And before "A Programming Language"? There was "The Description of Finite Sequential Processes" (1960). [link]

Missing APL 92 code and Petri Nets
I remember that, probably years ago, there was a brief exchange about why the APL92 directory on the Waterloo archive is empty, while the APL93-96 ones actually do contain code. This week, I was looking for a piece of APL software (part of the APL 92 conference) that was supposed to be available on the old "Software... more »
