Subject: The Electric Gallery
If you do not wish to be informed of developments on The Electric Gallery -
http://www.egallery.com/egallery/ - we apologize. Please let us know so
that we can amend our mailing list.
--------------------
We would like to announce that The Electric Gallery now has nearly 300
original paintings on display, and we will shortly have many contemporary
limited edition serigraphs and prints in our exhibit. Many of you have
suggested that we devote a "room" of the gallery to flag new and upcoming
features. For those who would like to check into this page from time to
time without going first to our homepage, put the URL:
http://www.egallery.com/egallery/new.html into your hotlist.
For those who have not visited our two newest "wings," please browse the
"Jazz & Blues" Wing and the "Folk Art" Wing, which we first presented in
January and March, 1995, respectively. We shortly will be adding new pieces
to each of these wings. These will include some great original paintings
and serigraphs by the Memphis artist Arnold Thompson in the Jazz & Blues
category. We already have about six rooms of folk art, which encompasses
some great American, Brazilian, Mexican, and East European artists.
In response to many inquiries, we have added posters of about a dozen of
the Lee/Wyant pieces in the "Southwest Wing." These Prints of the
Lee/Wyant pieces, like the original paintings, are available for purchase.
The prints are offered at $50 apiece. Don't forget that we also now have a
downloadable catalog of the gallery paintings which can be downloaded
directly, or ordered on floppy disks. For the moment, the catalog runs
only under MS Windows, though a Mac version should be available soon.
Completely new on the gallery are about thirty delightful folk art
paintings by American, Central American, Caribbean, and East European
artists. These are original naive/folk paintings by numerous famous
artists. These paintings will be supplemented soon by many more, which we
are adding daily. Within a few weeks, we will be adding a sixth wing
devoted to contemporary American and European art, including a variety of
limited addition prints.
We need your input about the gallery and what we are doing right and what
we are doing less well. For example, we would appreciate knowing how the
presentation appears on your favorite Web Browser. Another variable here
is the screen resolution you are using. We want to offer the highest
quality images possible of the gallery art, so we size the JPEG
images at about 950x700x16 million colors. This is always a compromise,
because the files are larger and take longer to download than a smaller,
lower resolution file. Please let us know what resolution you use, how you
size your viewer window, what you think about our image size and quality,
and how we can do it better. You can go directly to our comment page at
http://www.egallery.com/egallery/comments.html to give us feedback. Or,
call us at (800) 237-2551 or send us e-mail at rwp...@pipeline.com.
