hi, who fancies a go at this? i am looking to find examples of how web/net
art has come to influence standard accepted design practice - anyone think
of any good examples.

for instance - frames - i have a sneaky suspicion that frames would have
first been employed on a web page by someone forming 'art' rather than a
form of content management.

any ideas, any proof one way or the othe other for theframes example?

best wishes

mb

Now that's art for art's sake.
Paul.

Why? are writing a thesis or something?

Can you please expand on your theory a little more? It's a little too
broadly stated at the moment for a mere layman such as me to fully
appreciate. Are you inviting us to view the web as a metaphor for the
justaposition of post-modern neo-classicism with Damian Hurst's underpants?

can't be...in order to do that balerno would have to get a gallery to
exhibit a pair of Damian Hurst's underpants chainsawed in half, pickled
in formaldehyde and inscribed with the names of everyone who had ever
laundered them
