New Document with a CSS style sheet

http://www.cerm.info/bible_studies/T...ch_worship.htm

Old Document

http://www.cerm.info/bible_studies/T...orship_old.htm

Perhaps the font used in the old document was nicer. What do you say?
Anyways on to my question. The only trouble I seem to be having is the
header. Compare the two documents and the header of the old document the
line under the text is far spaced underneath the text and a simple copy
and paste in Kompozer did not do the trick. I had to open my TEMPLATE
and copy and paste the article text into the document to get the header.
How can I make this easier?

What do the three dots in the middle of the URL indicate? Both lead to
your main page, probably due to a 404. Post complete links.

Doesn't give up, this guy, does he? Maybe if he hunts around a bit
he'll find a group where he can get across his Christian message before
people realize what he's up to.

No need to propagate his urls then...

I cannot see from his Google Groups history (which is the best Usenet/Web
forum archive that I have handy) that your comment would be justified:

<http://groups.google.com/groups?q=cerm.info&hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-15&scoring=d>

He does not strike me as being a spammer or one of the religious zealots on
Usenet, but rather as someone who is continuously trying, through various
channels over the years, to varying degrees of success, to improve a website
that happens to deal with Christian beliefs (which I do not identify with,
but that is beside the point). Recently, from mozilla.support.seamonkey he
was directed to this newsgroup. His signature is even properly delimited,
which is rare with spammers.

So I would be generally willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

That said, due to his (probably) non-Christian, anti-social address munging,
which is most certainly a violation of Acceptable Use Policies, I would not
have seen his message had you not quoted it.

The font in the old one is whatever the user's browser chooses. Here it
is set to choose Times New Roman.

You have chosen font-family: Arial; for the new version. I prefer Arial
as it is bigger by default than times New Roman. Of course Times New can
be made larger in the css . for example: font-size: 120%; You might also
try Verdana, it's a very nice font to read.

re Header, I'm not sure why your new header is different when you copy
and paste into Kompozer as it looks the same here if I copy the whole
page and paste into Kompozer version 0.8b3

The difference seems to be that I have Kompozer set to choose strict
HTML4 thus:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"

Bullshit. Some of us have known him ("Bible John") for years in the Mac
groups. If what you say is true, then he is truly a far more stupid
individual than we thought. The fact that he sets his .sig up properly
is because we _forced_ him to do that in a Mac group a few years back.

He just wants you to read his stupid christer rantings; all the "help"
he needs is available from Google, but Google can't be saved can it? Do
search engines have a soul?

I can't believe you ate the whole thing.

Some of us have known him ("Ears") for years in the HTML groups. You
better believe it.

One sign, btw, of a not very serious enquiry is how when people do try
to help, there are no direct replies or detailed further questions,
instead (when there are followups) there are insensitive largely
narcissistic further ramblings.

That's okay -- I have a cold and am Sneezy (but I'm always Bashful and
Dopey 'round you, so that may have summat to do with it). Later I hope
to be Sleepy and, in the morning, Happy. Or not -- maybe I'll have to
