MP4 comes up as garbled bytes

I've no experience with streaming media. I took some video off a video
camera and compressed it as mp4 in Quicktime, and put it up on the
web, but its all garbage. Check out this link:

Can someone tell me what I did wrong? What do I need to do to get
streaming media?

Set the media type correctly. If you serve a file as text/plain, user agents
are supposed to show is at text.

This is likely not an HTML issue.

Are you sure you're serving it as audio/mpeg (or whatever the proper MIME
type is)?
