Subject: Internet Explorer Kiosk Mode - alternatives

Greetings,

We've built a kiosk for a very simple application to use at a trade
show, and used IE's Kiosk Mode to check it out.

Ideally we'd like to use a dedicated kiosk app for Linux so that we
can save the licensing fees of buying Windows for each terminal to be
used at the show, and for it to have the control to stop us letting
people close the window, or go to alternative sites.  Something we can
disable *everything* other than progression through html forms would
be superb.

Any recommendations, please?

Thanks for any help,

There's the kiosk project for mozilla.  This provides an xml-defined
minimal browser, and a minimal window manager config.

The KDE project has a whole kiosk framework, which allow the
administrator to freeze configurations, prune menu entries, and the
like.  There is even a gui tool to interactively adjust things.
