With the intent of enabling access to current and legacy Gopher
resources to modern operating systems and web browsers, it is now public
and more information is available from

Interesting :))

I'm an Opera user so for now I'll continue to use Lynx and Gopher for my
little forays into Gopherspace. Anything that makes it easier for 'normal
people' to use Gopherspace is worth some effort, in my opinion; that's the
only way to generate content, after all. So good luck.

Thanks, Whiskers.

We do wish the best of luck to Cameron Kaiser of Floodgap Systems and
his efforts to reintroduce the delivered document delivery system and
Internet protocol to modern Internet users.

Lynx is still my favorite browser for GOPHER as well as reading the news
without having to deal with all the pop-up and banner advertising they
like to throw in your face and splash all over your screen.

If the news web sites are throwing pop-up and banners ads in our faces
to get us to start reading - and buying - the print editions, it's a
smart trick because I LOATHE pop-up and banner advertising!

I have Opera set to 'cached images only' by default, and 'plugins' 'Java'
and 'javascripts' all disabled, and 'block unwanted pop-ups'; so I don't
see much that I don't want to see. My RSS aggregator is Snownews, which
is console (text) only.

awsoem. Will those 'p' and 'd' itemtypes work with old clients though?

Of the clients I have tested, item types they don't understand are simply
treated as type 9.
