Get number of emails in queue from VBA ?

Is there a simple way to get the number of emails queued from VBA
(Access)? I try to send mass emails from Access using this:
http://www.fabalou.com/VBandVBA/lotusnotesmail.asp

This sometimes causes problems if there are too many emails in queue
waiting to be sent.

The other idea:
To get an information when the transmission has finished successfully,
so that Access can start the next one.
