Subject: Mobile User problem
Hi,

Our company uses Lotus Notes 4.6, incorporates a number of mobile users.  My
problem is that one particular user cannot access the Notes server from home
the way he wants.  He would love to have a more simple way of executing the
work from home server dialup routine.  At present I have setup the laptop to
get him to select 'home' then he has to go to File, Mobile, Call Sever.  He
doesn't want to do this and said he never had to before.  Is there a way
that I can get him to do the same procedure a different way.

All suggestions appreciated.  Fairly Urgent as he is jetting off in the next
couple of days.

Thx in advance for any help

Cheers

Craig

There is button on the icons which does the same job. It looks like a dialpad
with a finger.

Create a connection document with your server,
and modify the location - Home

How about the use of a local replica of his mail database?  He could then
simply go to the replicator page and click the start button.

This would enable them to work "offline" however, a local copy of the NAB
would need to be present under the setting File_Tools_User Preferences
"Mail" Local Address Books in order to be able to address internal company
mail users on the system.  Email created while working offline is deposited
into the local mail.box for delivery the next time he replicates.

No need to remain connected to the Server all the time.

Good Luck.
