Layout for field/column 'from'

Can I change the layout of the field/column "FROM"? IT is normaly as
'Surmane Lastname'. The most of my user would like to see it instead
as "Lastname, Surname". That is easier to search for some mails. This
layout (Lastname, Surname) is standard in the field TO.
