mapping picture on face cube 3DSMAX2

Hi,
I want to map a picture on a cube face (for example)
but I'don't want the background picture.

If I take a picture with alpha canal RGB in 3DMAX,
I have no background but my picture have a bad colour.

make a material (multiple of 6 sides per cube)
now, edit mesh>face, and select on set of triangle2 (a square on each
side), and change the channel ID to 1,2,3,4,5,6 for the respective side

load your maps you want on each cube side in the material slot number's
diffuse map by selecting the ID number, and then loading a map
appropriately.

now animate the cube rotating, or something.

how sad is it that there is a freeware java applet out there that does this
real time!!!! on EXPLORER!

oh well, it looks neat anyway, try putting .avi's on each map side, too!
and then hold your shift key down and make a whole bunch of random
references of the cube and fly your camera through them

That was NOT his question.
He wanted to get the alpha-channel compositing right.
