3D Movies

Hi,

I was wondering whether it is possible to generate a animation scene
which can be viewed as the 3D movies (like Ice Age 3). From what I
understand, the 3D effect is generated by projecting two slightly
different versions of the same image, as the two human eyes naturally
sees, on the screen. Special glasses are used to make sure that each
eye gets different versions of the image, and the brain mixes it and
produces it as a "3D" image.

So can this be done for a sequence of dynamically generated images/
frames ?
