I had to reinstall PS 5.5 and now I've lost access to the Microsoft
Impressionist filter. I can access the filter still, but it doesn't see
it's styles or help file. I'm sure I just have something in the wrong
subdirectory, but don't know what should be where. Can someone please give
me the *exact* placement of the MS Impressionist files within the \Plug-Ins
directory? (I thought I had this information saved from some previous
posts, but can't find it now.) This filter is the only reason I still keep
my FP97 CD around.

Thanks!

Under plug-ins/impressionist accessories/brushes, factory settings,
paper, user settings

That's what I already have. But where do you put the Impres_1.8bf and help
file?

impressionist.8bf is in the plug-ins folder
help is in the /impressionist accessories/ folder
if it still doesn't work, try re-installing Image Composer. You
probably don't have to move any files.

Just in Plug-Ins, or in one of the subdirectories under Plug-Ins?

Btw, I didn't "install" Image Composer the first time. Just copied out the
files.

What do you think?

What I "thought" didn't work before. I put it into \effects where the rest
of the filters were living. Putting it just under \Plug-Ins does work. I
can now see all my styles and brushes, the help button works (instead of me
having to run it manually), and the Demo runs.

Now the only remaining problem is to not spend the rest of my life inside
this marvelous tool exploring all its options and settings.

Thanks!
