Do a search for Fantastic Machines Paint Engine. I couldn't find my link for
it.

Yes. Satori can do this. You can apply natural paint strokes to any image
and then have these re-applied to any new image. The brush strokes can be
stored as a canvas (satori CanvaFX custom filter file) and then applied in
one step as a filter effect.
A free fully functional trial download can be obtained at
www.satoripaint.com The
software runs as a plugin to Photoshop or stand-alone The software is not
shareware but you can for a limited time buy the standa-lone and the plugin
for only $99 - normal RRP is $800+
I hope that this helps

Painter is good for this. You can set the brush to use the colors
from the underlying image, rather than from a color palette. It's
easier than paint-by-numbers (well, sort-of).

"Art destroys silence." --Dmitri Shostakovich
Ya know, I am glad you said this Diane. I have 5.5 and figured out that
unless I start earlier in the manual from the actual page that "tells"
how to do this, it is not going to work. You should have seen the mess
that I had and it never looked like the picture in the manual.
What's the secret???
