Is there anybody who is good at "translating" a tutorial
from PaintShop Pro into PhotoShop6?. If so,
would you be kind enough to reply and leave your
E-Mail address for me to give more details?
There is a very nice tutorial by Angela M.Cable at
http://www.fortunecity.com/westwood/alaia/354/tutorials/oil/index.html
which I would very much like to be able to do in PhotoShop6.

If you would like to e-mail me directly, please do so.

In Photoshop, to get an "oil painting" effect from originalan image, go to
Filters/Artistic/ Paint Daubs or Palette Knife and adjust the sliders to get
different results and save as a file. You can open your "painting" in PSP
afterwards if you need to.
There are also many free plugins you can add to PSP for similar results.
Some plugins perform a kind of internal macro operation anyway and their use
just saves you the button pressing procedures in a parent programme like PS
or PSP.

Jasc is indeed lucky to have a guy like you working for
them. You can always be relied on to answer immediately,
and have always something positive to say.
So thanks a lot for your reply.
I have posted that same question to the two
newsgroups, I use, for Photohop.
You see, I am using PaintShopPro7, but since I am
running a PhotoShop Users Group, here on Long Island,
New York, mainly for Photographers and Camera buffs,
who want to go digital, I like to able, to do it using that
expensive program.
I DO recommend that our members, also buy PSP, and
one of the reasons is that it is indeed reasonably priced,
and does do things, like you mentioned below.
So thanks again, Kris
Harry
