Is there a site were I can view them in "action" ???
Well here's an example image and I'll explain the action you can't see
unless you are actually using the tubes.
http://members.xoom.com/tubes/paintings/picking.htm
The grass is in a tube, in fact several clusters of St. Augustine grass are
in this particular tube I used. I click and hold down the left mouse button
when the trailgrass.tub is loaded in the picture tube tool (a brush that
paints images) and move the mouse back and forth and up and down and in a
very short period of time, I have a lawn. Much faster than drawing grass
blade by blade and it's -real- grass I scanned from my yard. (not that you
can tell it after I filtered this image)
I add a new layer then load one of my shrub tubes and paint a row of shrubs
across the image. Add another new layer, try a different shrub tube for
some variety. I load a flower tube and click here and there on another new
layer above the shrubs to add some flowers. Repeat with another flower
tube.
The rocks were in a tube, about a half dozen in one tube in fact so I draw a
few lines back and forth across the image with the picture tube tool loaded
with my rocks tube (on a new layer above the lawn and bushes) and instant
rock wall.
The bench was a single object in a tube, one click on a new layer, there's a
bench on the lawn. I have people in many of my tubes, click and place to
add them to your image. The baskets were in a tube I downloaded from
another site, click and place, using a little layer trickery to put them
under the lady's arm.
Use flower tubes to fill the basket on the lady's arm by painting flowers on
top the basket on a new layer. Then erase the flowers that overlap the
outside edge of the basket where they wouldn't normally be seen, and your
basket is filled. Do the same with the strawberries (another tube I
downloaded) to the basket on the bench.
Tube images have no background, you paint with them and all you see are the
ready to use clean images coming out. Some are related images stored in one
tube, like a lot of Christmas ornaments, some are nature objects like
flowers, trees, grass, etc. With a tree tube you paint a few strokes and
make a forest, etc, and you can resize the images with a slider so your
distant row of trees are smaller and the next layer is a wee bit larger and
continue until you get to the foreground.
Of course, this image I've used as an example has a lot more to it than what
I've explained, some filtering, some other layer tricks to place objects
under others and erase parts that shouldn't be seen, but it was done with
tubes - even the clouds in the sky were tubes sprayed on a layer above the
solid pale blue background. The tiny distant birds were in a tube I just
clicked and placed on a layer above the clouds.
Tubes have lots of uses, tube paintings is just one. They're a source of
easily resizable photographic quality images, hand drawn images or other
artwork - all with the advantage of being without backgrounds so you can
layer them with other tube images to create new images.

The tiger wouldn't come out for photos when I last went on safari (at the
zoo) for tube objects so I don't have one yet. Can't recall seeing a tiger
tube anywhere but I'd bet there is one somewhere.

I have hummed and hahed over tubes for about a year now and about two weeks ago
I started playing and boy do you get hooked doing these things :)
Go for a tutorial and don't look back.
If anyone visits my site they will see just how addicted I have become with the
many many tubes already :) Also check my blade pro presets out I have added
loads since I last posted way back when.
Cheers
